Our Shepherds Farm

Dr Richard Swenson and his book "In Search of Balance"...

 talks about learning how to live "with margin", while eliminating "overload". This vacation may teach you how to balance your life, by working Granpa's way, to relaxation;  Yet teach the children's subjects "Hands On".

The year was 1910: Grampa married Grandma and they moved to the family farm.  They raised a large family of children who now are married with children of their own-

It is now 1950: You, (our children), are planning a vacation, to bring our grandchildren home, to spend a week with us. 

You desire that they also will learn about the healthy work of farming. Also that they, (and you) may learn the truth of God, as only a Grampa can teache it from this old Bible: He uses the everyday chores of this older style farm for instruction. You will all learn with the help of the plants, animals, the clean soil, even from the microbes, that feed the plants, and which produce the nutrition that we must have, to be healthy.... 

Nutrition for our bodies...   YES.

But more important, the spiritual nutrition needed for our souls.

bringing "our Grandchildren" back to Grampa's farm!

     We have no set dollar amount  for this priceless experiance. This is a ministry for you, and your family

     We trust you to search your budget and decide what you can afford to leave as a gift, to defray our costs:

 Most important, We trust the Holy Spirit to guide you and others who visit, to provide the correct donation.  He knows the needs!  So prayerfully decide what you can give.     Do not stay home because you are concerned your donation will not be enough.  You and your children would miss this piece of your life experiance.

What can I expect?

This is a hands on experiance:

 There will be regular (age appropriate) "chores" to do, so that each family member will have a part in the adventure; This will allow each to enjoy and learn about the routine of a small working farm for those of each age group.
